Regular staff includes 28 members

Chaitanya Society:

- 13 tuition centres now funded by Asha for Education, with 700 students receiving remedial education. 15 volunteer staff member teach at the centres with salaries provided by Chaitanya

- 6 disabled students receive home-based education

- Self-employment training for villagers

- 2,500 adults in the 50 villages surrounding Nayakanahatti will receive adult education starting April 2008, in partnership with the government. 400 volunteer staff members will run the program

Chaitanya Foundation:

- 700 Micro-finance members managed by the Chaitanya Foundation

- Local businesses and enterprises are provided small loans to assist with capital expenses that help grow the business or with short-term cash-flow problems. Such finance has been used to substantially grow some local businesses.

- Business management assistance is often provided as well as finance, promoting close cooperation with local businesspeople.

Chaitanya Enterprises:

- Sales of useful household items that are more energy efficient, cost-saving, effort-saving, and health-improving. For example, water filters, pressure cookers, non-stick pans etc.

- Items are sold at significant discount to regular retail prices

- Zero interest loans are provided for people in financial difficulty for items that are cost-saving.

S³IDF:

- A fund that provides loans for groups of women that promote sustainable infrastructure development (e.g. loans for capital cost of LPG stove)

- Funds are managed by Chaitanya staff and loan applicants are assessed by Chaitanya in close cooperation with the women. Repayments are also collected by Chaitanya staff
